Introduction
NTA has been entrusted with conducting the following examinations since 2019 in the field of agriculture and allied sciences: ICAR AIEEA (PG) – All India Entrance Examination for Admission (Postgraduate) for Master’s degree Programmes and award of ICAR-PG Scholarships, and ICAR AICE-JRF/SRF (Ph.D.) – All India Competitive Examination for Junior Research Fellowship/Senior Research Fellowship for doctoral admissions. These examinations are conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode with objective-type multiple-choice questions.
The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) is the apex body responsible for coordinating, guiding, and managing research and education in agriculture and allied sciences under the Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE), Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.
The ICAR-AU system comprises 74 Agricultural Universities, including State Agricultural Universities, ICAR Deemed Universities (IARI, IVRI, NDRI, CIFE), Central Agricultural Universities, and Central Universities with agriculture faculties.
